We have received advice from Fremantle Ports that the Maritime Union of Australia have proposed a six-day strike commencing this Sunday, 9th Decemeber. Furthermore, we have also been advised of a possibility of a two-day strike starting on Friday, 7th December which is yet to be confirmed.

At present, it is uncertain as to when the strike will commence, it is possible that the strike may be as extensive as from 5:30am Friday, 7th December to Saturday, 15th December.

Services impacted will include mooring, security, quarantine collection in the Inner and Outer Harbours where the services are provided by Fremantle Ports and Stevedoring operations at Kwinana Bulk Terminal. As such there is likely to be an impact on shipping movements in the Inner Harbour and at the Kwinana Bulk Terminal, Kwinana Bulk Jetty, Grain Jetty and AMC.

If you have any questions or queries with regards to the proposed industrial action, please do not hesitate to contact Hornet Group on +61 2 9653 9127 or email us at enquiry@hornetgroup.com.au.
